Starlink use illegal in Falklands under Sure monopoly until 2025 licence

Starlink was unlicensed in the Falkland Islands because of Sure's exclusive licence, despite hundreds of terminals in use and a petition backed by residents; the government cut the VSAT fee from £5,400 to £180 and granted Starlink a licence in November 2025.
