Ontario cancels C$100 million Starlink rural internet contract amid US tariff dispute

Ontario Premier Doug Ford cancelled the province's roughly C$100 million Starlink contract for about 15,000 remote homes and businesses in retaliation for US tariffs, after first announcing and then pausing the move in February 2025.
