TRAI and DoT deadlock on satcom fees; Starlink says Rs 8,600 plan on its site was test data

TRAI rejected DoT's proposed 5% spectrum fee and kept its Rs 500 urban levy, prolonging uncertainty over Starlink's launch. An Rs 8,600 monthly plan and Rs 34,000 kit briefly shown on Starlink's India website were described by the company as dummy test data, and no official price was announced.
