and said X would lift court-ordered restrictions on accounts.
Background
Moraes had ordered X to block certain accounts in Brazil. Musk said X would probably lose all revenue in Brazil and have to close its office there.
Official response
On 7 April Moraes added Musk to an existing disinformation inquiry and opened an obstruction-of-justice inquiry, setting a fine of 100,000 reais per day for each blocked account that remained unblocked (JURIST). Solicitor General Jorge Messias wrote: We cannot live in a society in which billionaires domiciled abroad have control of social networks.
